What tax sub service, if any, provides the most opportunities for travel? (I enjoy travel, but not as much as our fellow audit colleagues) Currently going into EY as Staff 1.

T3, Indirect, International, in that order.

T3 - national travel but you may end up in random cities like Scranton, Sacramento, or Raleigh.

Indirect - could be lots of travel, but all regional. Heavily team dependent but they support the region.

International - complete crapshoot based on clients. No travel early on in your career most likely.

If you private message me, I am happy to share more info.

Add TARAS to that list. Depending on the city it could be 0-80% travel.

It’s tax accounting work. While provision related it’s not all calculation of provisions. It’s mostly transactional based project work.

Hi All. I am currently working in TCS and pursuing my PGP in Data Science and Business Analytics from Great Learning. I don't know much about job opportunities. I love travelling and some of my friends travel to different countries for a short stint (1-2y) for work. Is there any job/company that would be allow me to travel often (to different countries) as a Data Scientist/Analyst? Sorry if the question sounds dumb. Thanks in advance!

If anyone is interested in taking a summer trip to Myrtle Beach from 7/29-8/5, I am renting out my timeshare with Marriott's OceanWatch Villas at Grande Dunes. This resort is right on the beach and offers many fun activities for the whole family! The two-bed, two-bath condo has a fully furnished kitchen and can fit up to 8 people. I am ideally looking for someone to rent it out for the entire week for about 3K total. Message me for more information!

Serious question - is there a reverse FIRE strategy? I like the idea of saving and retiring early, but the one hiccup I see (and sorry if this is grim) is if you die earlier than expected. I’d be worried that I would minimize lifestyle and fun for retirement at 50 but I’d die at 49. How about a way to work 9 months out of the year and retire/travel/relax for 3 months? This way you guaranteed your dreams/etc. are fulfilled

Question for moms. I’m getting married next year and have several close family members that will have babies ages 8-11 months old by then. What are some ways I can support the moms and make it an enjoyable experience for them? We have a separate room at the venue that I was thinking could be offered to the parents to use, or potentially hiring a babysitter for them (either at the venue or back at the hotel). I would love for the families to be able to come, as it is out of town.

I just can’t seem to motivate myself to do it, I’m so mentally burnt out at the end of the day from a high stress HR job, the last thing I feel like doing is studying HR!

I've been working at a company for just over a year now and have discovered my pay is way below what I should be on - I'm a senior and my male equivalent is on double what I'm on.
Recently having a pay review my boss tells me it was a mistake that I've got senior on my job contract and it should've been mid consultant, however my boss now considers me a senior and I can get a pay rise at the end of the year. What would you do? Do I wait till the end of the year for a pay review?
