Is this normal?
No matter what I write at my job, everything gets torn apart. The process goes like this: I write the piece, go through four rounds of intensive internal edits, and then a senior team member takes over and rewrites it.
The senior team members tell me I'm one of the strongest writers on the team. And my coworkers go through the same thing or worse with their writing. But at this point, I don't even see the point in trying anymore.
Is it like this at all agencies?
Have any litigators lateraled from a firm with a Westlaw account to a Lexis-only firm and found that the adjustment wasn’t that bad (or, alternatively, that it was that bad)? I’m contemplating an offer and am finding myself hung up on this, but I’m not sure whether my years-long preference for Westlaw is clouding my vision
Hi All, I was offered a role with Aecoms San Francisco office working with an energy client for a midlevel associate environmental planner. I wanted to gauge what is a general salary that ones been offered on this team. I felt lowballed at $79k/annual, initially offered 74k. This is given that I had 1.5 years in land use planning and a recent masters graduate in urban planning.
Any one working @Visa Inc, How is the work life balance at banglore? I got an offer with corporate information technology team. Please share your inputs so I can decide if I can accept the offer
Does anyone have any insight into what voice over talent for broadcast costs for non-union talent? I just learned a previously recorded spot requires usage fees and I’ve never had to really deal with that before. Is non-union talent without usage fees a thing? Or is it more common to buy out the rights outright? Sorry if this is a dumb question I’m somewhere between googling around and flying blind.
What is your work schedule like?

Hey Everyone !
I am a recent graduate of a fullstack coding bootcamp and now I am in the grind of finding my first tech job. Which has been both exciting and frustrating. I have built a handful of apps using React.js and Django. I would love to hear any tips for a new SWE trying to find a job. Feel free to add me on linkedin... trying to grow my network within the tech field. Thanks!
I think it is time for me to find a new career, however, I don’t want less pay for my services.
Any ex-FDD people went to IB? I started FDD from Audit few months ago but I decided to make a move. However, I am currently preparing on my interviews and resume but it would probably take some time to be fully prepared. Would you recommend applying to IB after everything is ready? Or apply ASAP?
good mattress to buy <$500? Looking for something on the firmer side. I don’t know how soft/firm memory foams are. Also don’t want to drop a grand on Casper and alike (not convinced they are better)
Has anyone been able to transition from project management to brand marketing? How did you do it?

What's life like at Woven? I have a call with a recruiter next week. It sounds like a great company doing fascinating work, but I'd love to hear from people who work there.
My SO and I were about to get our first rescue kitten during lockdown; then the neglectful host family lost him today.😢 We had bought and prepared everything for him and now we’re devastated ... I hope he finds his way home 🙏
Just because this hasn't been mentioned already, I just want y'all to know that we are living in truly unprecedented times.
Greetings from SoCal 😎
If one good thing came out of the pandemic for me, it’s that I’ve gotten really good at cooking (finally). Here’s my roasted Brussels sprouts with garlic, pancetta, lemon vinaigrette, and chili flakes.
who can afford this debt now..
My husband never reads and wants to start reading as a new hobby. What is a good book that you would recommend for a 40 year old man? Not self help books, but maybe something with action. I think he would like the Bourne series, but he saw all the movies so he's not interested, but something similar.
How do you handle a personal event that mentally just flips your life upside down while dealing with regular stress, work and feeling lost in general.
I’m saying this because I care. If I were to go back in time, I would’ve gotten the vaccine. Please y’all get the covid vaccine. Months ago, those in my household got the vaccine and I did not due to fear to loosing a couple days of work and getting sick. A month ago, I got Covid and was hospitalized. I couldn’t breath - my oxygen level was 80. My fever was over 103. I was in so much pain. I couldn’t walk without the air tube and experienced other terrible symptoms. Covid also injured my back……
How is it that people who are married and live together seem to always have kids interrupting their calls. Where is the husband? Where is the wife? Why is there not one place in your house you can go and close the door for 30 mins of silence to talk on a phone?🤔
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good electronic standing desk for an apartment? Having trouble finding one that fits in small spaces
Had a weird interview on Zoom.
Hiring manager cut me off mid sentence and put up her hand, saying she'd heard all she wanted to hear. Like forcefully, saying "enough enough, I heard what I wanted" in a loud annoyed tone.
She moved me to the next round of interviews. But isn't that weird? Would you want to work for this person? If I can't get a sentence out now, what hope would I have of feeling heard once I work there?
This may sound ridiculous but I got my first job out of college, I don’t like the company, but I feel stuck. I never got an internship so I’m glad I got into a position I wanted, but when looking at other companies so many entry-level jobs want an internship even after a year working from what I’m understanding? Do internships even matter after your first job?
We are going to be installing a new carpet soon. Any tips on choosing the right kind of carpet and padding? We are going with a local vendor (not Home Depot or Lowe’s). No pets.
Got my vaccine last week Thursday. I had minor side effects then (headache, tiredness, and pain in injection site) but 5 days after (yest) have been feeling more fatigued. Today I woke up with a cold and feeling feverish. My body feels very tired too.
Did any of you have a late onset of vaccine side effects? I got Pfizer if it matters.
