What things did you find helpful to help reduce effects from ADD/ADHD?

I'll kickoff

A few things I found helpful to increase focus:
1) workout in the morning (15-30 mins)
2) meditation (5-10 mins)
3) daily planning and gratitude (3-5 mins)
4) supplement called pycogenol (takes a few weeks to feel effect)

2. Journaling / brain dumps where I write for 5’ and try to get down every thing spinning in my head
3. Outsourcing boring household chores like laundry and cleaning
4. Writing down EVERYTHING
5. Getting enough sleep

To current / former PE associates - if the hours are on average better than IB or consulting, why is it so common to hear lifestyle is often much more difficult? Is it just stress from increased responsibility? Do better hours and (marginally) more certainty over your schedule not compensate?

Went to a dentist who never mentioned that they are out of network for my insurance. Got hit with $1600 bill for three filling and with $600 out of pocket. Is there a way that I can dispute this or get this amount reduced? Spoke to the doc who said he will look into it…. Nothing yet though

My mental health is declining so low because of work. I really want to take a long break or quit because I honestly feel like I can’t handle this pressure. I have a call with a therapist (first call) tomorrow and I hope to get some good advice there. I just have never felt this low before in my life and am scared for my mental health. Anyone feeling this way?

Never had anxiety before law school and it has gotten progressively worse as I graduated, passed the bar, started working. Now it's at the point where it's hard to get myself to work some days. Anyone have any experience with therapy/a psychiatrist? I'm starting to realize effects on my physical health and performance at work and desperately want to feel better.

28M, 5’11, 230lb. Is 2000 calories supposed to be enough to not be hungry but also lose weight? MFP suggested between 1800 and 2400 depending on how much exercise I get, but on a sedentary day like today, I’ve been hungry most of the day on 1800 cal.

Consulting is the least stressful part of my life. My relationship is at a very low point (unexpected loss on his side) and I am the target of a lot of anger and emotion. On top of it, a back injury (discs) has flared up making it extremely painful to move so now I’m “not helpful” and “obsessed with work” (I work 40ish hours). Where do I draw the line? Because I’m at my limit.

Is it just me, or is there a 2:3 ratio or a 3:4 ratio for hours actually worked vs hours actually billed? Is this the same with everyone else? Ex: I worked 12 hours but only billed for 8 or 9.

I'm pretty proud of the progress I've made when it comes to staying on task in my work life. What I'm having bigger issues with is transitioning from one thing to another. Day 5 of Wellbutrin for ADHD. Already seem to wake up easier and been able to focus a bit more. Really hope to keep seeing improvement and this isn’t a placebo affect so far!

Is anyone on a low dose of Adderall or a similar stimulant, and do you find it helpful/effective?

When I was diagnosed (at 20 yo) I started on Adderall XR and my psychiatrist essentially took a “keep upping the dose until you feel side effects” approach, even though I still saw some benefits at a lower dose. I’m currently unmedicated and am somewhat hesitant to restart, but feel I could see some benefit and better stability with the help of medication.
