How often is it okay to reach out to the internal corporate recruiter for the interview status update? I finished a final round with F100 in early November. Reached out twice in the beginning of December and was told that they will decide by mid-December. Should I re-engage again?

I applied for few SA roles at AWS after getting the SAA certificate and some badges like the “WAF” and “Advanced Migration”. I also optimized my resume recently trying to match what AWS would look for, but I did not get any 1st call or screening interview!
I also applied to some of the roles using friend’s referral. I have more than 15 years in IT infrastructure mainly in Storage systems (EMC, Hitachi) What could be the problem? Thanks.

Question regarding a trend I'm seeing on applications: I'm currently a Recruiting Manager with an agency and one of my big responsibilities is reviewing all incoming applications/resumes. I'm starting to see a trend with the majority of the ones lately where the applicant's resume shows they had just started a new job within the last 6 months but before that, they had pretty great tenure. I'd love to hear the "why" if this describes you as I'm just curious since this hasn't been the case prior.

Can anyone provide advice on the current situation apartment-wise? I’m an associate that started last year. I’m from Birmingham, AL but moved to Chicago in September of last year for the job. I’ve moved back home w my parents and have been here since mid March and not seeing an end in sight. I recently agreed to resign my lease at my amazing condo for another year but considering I’m not using it and have no ties to the city I’m thinking I should get out of it before I actually sign. Thoughts?

Asking for honest opinions: many or most of us here have great jobs, a lot of perks, excellent salaries etc. Yet I see so many people complaining that they’re having to work more, or they’re not getting a bonus, or that they miss their perks etc.
I’m aware of special situations (e.g.. parents with small children) but come on - I was laid off in 2017 and it was one of the worst things that happened to me. Show some appreciation that you got to keep your excellent job so far.
