I feel like this is all so 1998. These days isn’t it way more effective for everyone to work remote Monday and fly Monday afternoon?
Aside from the fact that they will never think you are doing enough just set up an early pod and cc them on a couple emails. Problem solved.
My favorite:
6:00 EDT wake
8:15 EDT flight
10:30 CDT arrive... sometimes I could sneak a nap in the hotel and still make it before lunchtime
Gain an hour on Mondays, lose it Thu.
Lately:
5:45wake
8:00train (long commute to train)
11:00arrive
I sleep the entire trip no matter what.
The 3:45am wake ups are for the birds but what can you do?
4:00 am
7:05-8:00 (often American will present the opportunity to get to know o’hare better)
10:00 -11:00
😮 that’s such an early wake up time !!
Those of you waking up 4-5am. Wow. Just wow. Doesn’t this cut your Sunday short to nothing? How can you fall asleep at ..8pm?
Leave midday Monday, arrive at client mid afternoon, depart 2ish Thursday.
I still manage a 40+ hour week, easily.
