Some companies start their FY in October and start interviewing again now but slowed down mid august through end of September. That was my experience anyways. And I’ve noticed a significant decrease in LinkedIn messages since early august compared to the last 6 months/year+.
Rising Star
Maybe the decrease is bc all the recruiters are 1) busy writing posts about how hard their life is, or 2) laid off 🙃

Tbh, I’m so confused by why they keep looking for recruiting roles. Like I get that it’s their speciality and you can’t just change careers overnights, but it just seems crazy to me bc recruiting is always first to be cut. Now more ppl are competing for fewer jobs.
Like time to pivot!

Beginning of year after budgets are replenished. At year end, no one is giving up their bonus eligibility & companies don’t want to pay extra compensate for someone sacrificing that.
At least that’s how it is @ my company. Curious to hear other responses.
Yes, late fall/winter is always bad for recruiting. Budgets are closed and the holidays are on us
