What time on Friday do you start signing off "Have a nice weekend?" praying that you don't get a substantive response?

I would never say “have a nice weekend” in an email. I’m fine with a simple”Regards”. The “have a nice weekend” is sort of a platitude. I don’t see the point of writing it, really.

Saying “have a nice weekend,” is admitting that you don’t work on weekends. I don’t. Unless clients need something important, weekends are family time.

I’ve never said have a nice weekend in an e-mail.

I put my: we’re closed on Monday, so anything I get after this is a Tuesday problem at 4:30. But on non-holiday weekends, “have a nice weekend” is usually in every email. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Hi fishes,
I got interviewed for
CGI , CGI Communications Inc, 2nd February- technical round and 7th February- Managerial round. Till now, I didn't get any update from HR team. I tried calling Hr and dropped mails about the status. But she is not picking calls or replying to my mails. I tried calling the the person who setup L1 interview, she told I was not selected. What should I consider now, is my candidature on hold or should I think I got Rejected without any confirmation from HR team.

I’ve been at my current Med/surg job since May, the only thing that’s keeping me there is the schedule, I work on weekends and I’m able to stay at home with my kids during the week. I’m considering changing to the OR. Does anyone know what Sibley Hospital in DC pays OR Nurse? I have a little over 6 months of experience in the OR.

Hi new here. Idk what my value is and if I’m getting paid an amount that reflects my hard work. I am a paralegal for a small law firm (family and immigration) w only 1 attorney. I have about 20 files or more in my rotation at a time. I work on various types of cases at once. Some are simple, others are extensive. I feel like it’s very unstructured and one of the managers micromanages. It’s like every man for himself. Take home pay is $50k. I am working on my bachelors deg. Do I get paid enough?

Would anyone happen to have any insight on base comp ranges for internal Lateral Attorney Recruiting Managers? Particularly for firms between 250-500 attorneys? I love my current firm, and have 5 years of experience within lateral associate, counsel and partner recruiting; but, considering how much money I save the firm with each non-search-firm attorney placement, I feel like there is higher compensation opportunity elsewhere. Thank you!

Am I making enough profit for my firm?

I became a 2 year lawyer in September. I started working at my firm, a mid-sized firm practicing commercial business litigation and PI, in March of 2020. Last year I made the firm $180k from my billable hours and I was paid $85k + full health and other benefits.

This year, I'm on track to make about $150k and to make the firm about $450k from my billable hours and PI cases that I originated and settled.

Trying to do right for my firm. I'm treated well.

Does your firm do anything for yearly work anniversaries? It’s obviously not a big deal but I made it to a year at a firm with high attrition (at least ten associates in our division alone have left in my time here) and have received no acknowledgement of this fact.
