Spoken like true non-natives. Head down to spring. Stay in the little rectangle of south of 4th st and north of 9th/Olympic and you'll find many good restaurants and bars like Terronis and Petite Paris. Go a little farther to Little Tokyo Plaza for Honda-ya, or head to the Art District for Barcades and the hipster scene at Resident.
Hell, if you want, I'll even meet you for drinks tonight.
The homeless scene is the best. Check it out.
OK, OK, so this Hermosa Beach native doesn’t prefer DTLA :-)
Native but it's been a few years... 7 Grand, Broadway Bar, Golden Gopher, Library, The Edison, Villains Tavern
Get out of it. While the lunch food scene has improved, the best parts of the LA Basin are very definitely not in DTLA.
DTLA is dead. Only thing to do there is catch an Uber to somewhere else
WM knows the scene! Spend some time at Baco, Redbird, Broken Spanish while you're at it. Wolf & Crane in Little Tokyo is one of my favorite bars, great if you like whiskey.
^hahaha if I lived in HB, I would want to gtfo too. 👍
Thanks WM and Bain!!!
Perch, Standard, Little Easy, Shoo Shoo Baby, 71Above - where the slide is...just go to the restaurant and get a drink if you want to see the view instead of paying to go up, there's some new bar @ the Wilshire grand building (says Korean air up top), seven grand ~ all walkable options from kpmg office
OP, we are in DTLA... where are you at n A/S??
Following.
The roof at the standard hotel
