Hi all! I’m inclined on taking up the CIPM training and certification exam. I’m already a certified Data Protection Officer in the Philippines. I intend on skipping CIPP as it applies to the US and EU.

How difficult was the exam? Can you share your experience studying for the CIPM exam? Is it advisable to skip CIPP?

How do you handle an employee that is taking advantage of this WFH environment? I understand we need to be sensitive as people have things they are going through, but where do we draw the line? For context, this employee is a single male and never logs online before 10:30am. I have bit my tongue for weeks and weeks but feel a conversation is due. Has anyone here negotiated dog care expenses while traveling for work? I am single, live alone, and have two dogs and it’s not cheap to board them or have a sitter when I travel ($100/day). I am in talks for a job with lots of travel and it would be a significant cost to me to care for them while I’m away. Asking friends to take care of them isn’t a long term solution for a job with 25% travel. Any tips for how to bring this up and ask for this to be covered contractually?
