Capital One Power Day had three interviews in the morning. HR calls in between to say if you have a fourth in the afternoon. They told me this depends on caser availability. Is this really true, or does something else determine the 4th case?

Had a final round interview today where I believe 3/4 of them went really well. The call with the manager was okay - they didn’t seem as engaged. Will this hinder me?

Hi everyone. What is the typical interview process like for tech Bizops roles? Are the case interviews similar to the ones we do in the consulting industry with the scenario based on the company we’re interviewing for? Thanks in advance.

Received an offer from McKinsey & Company and am super stoked to join, but I’m getting quite criticized in my personal life for the decision mostly because of the public image of the firm. I get where they’re coming from, but figured most of the consulting industry was like this, not just McKinsey, and strategy work is what really interests me. Any tips on how to deal with it?
aside from salary, what would you personally negotiate in an offer and what can you negotiate? obviously vacation. paying for courses? attending conferences? relo?
I have some interviews for product management roles at some Series C/D companies. I have a feeling I'll get at least one offer. Totally new to the start up game but given that these are both well onto the road to IPO (according to them) can I have them give me a breakdown of equity, strike price, outstanding shares etc? One is a PMM role too. 31, female in Boston if location maters at all when considering any of the above.
My boss and mentor was recently laid off with the cuts made last week, and I have a gut feeling I’m next. I’ve tried my best to stay positive with my current agency, but it’s time to move on. I need a change of pace. Understand just about every shop is on a hiring freeze, but anyone need a strategist?
What does your retirement budget look like? Assuming no debt. What is your expected basic minimum expenditures (core life)? And what are you budgeting for fun and luxury? My basic is around 10k a month for taxes and food and transport and utilities. Luxury and fun is another ten. Big expense in basic is property tax. Big expenditure in fun is travel. I think my basic budget is too high and I could bring it down and be very happy in a smaller home and less restaurants.
Does MBB have a GPS practice? If so, where do they recruit from for experienced hires? Big4, Booz, government itself?

Perks of being laid off and working local: no more flight and hotel reminders, no more shitty project, less politics and back biting. After 10 years I can say I have a life now.
I really just want a 9-6 job. What’s stopping is my stupid af ego and the “promise” of better exit opportunities that comes with 1 more year.
Looking at you MBB & FAANG
Amex Platinum is offering 20K points if you sign up for their “pay over time” option. I called about something else and they offered at the end of the call. No downside, you can still pay in full as usual. Just activated the option. Figured I’d pass the easy points to y’all!
