McKinsey & Company Can someone recommend the top consulting firms to look at for HCLS opportunities? Preferably firms with a dedicated BU in HCLS focused on advising as well as project based work. I am currently in discussions with Huron. I have looked at Oliver Wyman (appears to be heavy on payor and Rev Cycle), Deloitte McKinsey & Company and Capgemini I’ve reached out to McKinsey but didn’t receive a reply. Any direction/advice and referrals would be greatly appreciated!

Stop being the top performer and throw that hot potato to someone else. You want to be good, but not too good.
Nope, pretty common. Mine told me it would be good for my career to come to his project and perform asset inventory (hardhat and clipboard) over five states. That was as a M3....
Present a case to your coach of why you and the firm would benefit from you having other experiences + proactively create a plan to coach other resources to be your replacement. Sometimes you can’t move up unless you build up people beneath you
Can you have the conversation about whether or not the advice they are giving you is as the engagement partner or your counselor partner? Maybe they need their eyes opened a bit to the conflict.
Unfortunately it sounds like you'll need to escalate this before you get burned out.
Thanks for all your support. It’s a very high visibility project and I did want to be part of the success...but I don’t why I started to feel taken advantage of...
I guess I will start networking outside my practice to look for other projects. If my partner and counselor are upset, I guess that’d be proof that they really don’t care about my career after all...no lost then.
This is a very common reason to request a new counselor (counselor is the engagement lead) and is completely understandable. Start the process but let your counselor know of your request so they aren’t surprised.
If you like him, use him as more of a mentor but get a new counselor
Escalate to your Counseling Partner
Counseling partner is the engagement partner ....
Are you SAP?
Don’t wanna be specific :)
Get a new counselor
I think going to HR to silently switch him might imply that I accused him of something? And HR would want partner approval anyways...
