First, I’m so sorry you’re struggling right now. Remember that you won’t always feel this way.

I try to check in with myself and see what is out of tune. For me, things feel a lot heavier when I haven’t been sleeping well, eating well or exercising. 2/3 isn’t good enough. There is an element of forcing yourself to go through the motions even if your mind asks “what’s the point?”

👆 this. And can you take a sick day or few? Sometimes lying on the couch and doing nothing and sleeping in is helpful. Can you change your scenery by going somewhere or try something new to give your mind something new to focus on?

I don’t have a solution but just wanted to chime in and let you know you aren’t alone. There are so many of us who feel the same way you do. I’m having one of those times too. It sucks so bad.

How are people managing communication and exec presence with ADHD?

In case anyone would like to spare themselves a heart attack stroke and possibly spreading Covid to a large group of people as you run around screaming for help. If you child goes missing and doesn’t respond to you calling her name despite screaming it at the top of your lungs 50 times check under the blankets her room. She could be a very sound sleeper and entirely huddled under the blanket on the floor. Also don’t trust your 12 year old to check under the blanket either before calling 911.

Does anyone else feel cold indoors often, even on days like today when it’s not cold out? I‘ll get cold to the point of shivering and end up cranking up the heat. I don’t know if it’s stress, poor sleep, lack of exercise, or something else. I got a physical very recently, and no issues with anemia, thyroid, etc. Any solutions?

Traveling to India and using AT&T international day pass for $10/day. But still getting spotty coverage when not on wifi. Are there any other cellular options so that I can use my phone normally (incl my number) and call directly without using wifi? I expect calls coming directly to my cell phone number and hence can not use another number. Thx!

Zika - part of my family lives in South America, and I will visit them end of this year. We just started to TTC when realized we have to postpone by 8 months (4 until the trip, 1 month there, 3 months after). I was happy we were not pressured but now I feel it. Best case I would be 33 and my husband 40 by the time the baby is born. Freeze? Relax, 8 months won’t make a difference?

I lost my last job a few weeks before Christmas last year and it took me a long while to find a new one. Ultimately I ended up moving to a new city for a job I was really excited about. However, within the first few weeks I suffered a major medical setback which led to a crippling bout of depression. I am finally starting to feel like a person again but I'm afraid the ship has sailed on my having success in my new role.

When anxious, time seems to speed up which makes one perceive time constraints when tackling tasks.

When not anxious, an hour feels like eternity and sufficient time to knock out tasks.

What are your techniques to slow down time?

Mine is to meditate, pop a klonopin, and write in a journal. This 30 minute routine quiets the mind and removes distractions.

Most of my friends my age (23) seem to be living so casually and enjoying their lives doing so. Here I am working 55hrs a week with so much responsibilities on my shoulders.
