Pretty sure Capital One Venture X is the best one for travel, though I'm not sure if there are any restrictions for international travel.

This is what I have. I really like it. They have great rewards.

I went with Capital One Venture X for this reason

I would say that the Capital One Venture X as well as the American Express Gold card if you have a good credit score are great choices. Also, I am a travel agent and would love to help with putting some affordable packages together for you and your family’s international trips if that’s something you’d be interested in. Send me a DM if so.

It depends on where you’re going? You would need to research the transfer partners for that card. Imo Amex has the best international travel partners but that’s just me.

American express platinum is the way to go. I've never had any issues with it. You should also get one for yourself.

Anyone care to share their luggage delay claim experience with chase and airlines?
My luggage hasn’t came home since my July trip and I have to replace a bunch of stuff inside. Both chase and the airlines have not responded to my previous claims(made during trips for changes of clothes) ….. now the bill is adding up and I don’t know what the max will be with the airlines. (Chase is $300 total but they seem to want to know how much the airline is paying before they pay)

To those who have an HSA and who are able to cap the contributions each year, what account balance would you need in order to not cap the contributions, or to no longer contribute at all? Just to clarify, these dollars are triple tax free, which is beautiful, but can only be spent on qualified medical expenses, so theoretically there’s some point where continuing to contribute toward it or capping the contributions may not make sense

I just started reading up on tbill ladder, and it seems like an interesting (and safe) way to lock in decent, tax advantaged, returns. I already have $20k in ibonds, and was planning to put in another $10k in January to lock in 6% interest for first 6 months, but am wondering if I should use it to start building a tbill ladder instead. Thoughts?

Hey! I just graduated college. I want to start investing, but wondering the best way to allocate my $85k salary, pay off my $27k student debt, save some money to live on my own (NYC), and build a strong investment portfolio.

My monthly paychecks will be around $5k. I want to allocate $2k a month to student loan debt for a year until paid off. My family will put 500 a month towards loans. How should I best allocate the remainder?

Would you go to a t10 if you didn’t get into an m7 and are still flexible to delay a year?
