Just added to my book list, thank you!

Meditation on headspace, bloom or though my fitness ap. Podcasts: mindset mentor, school of greatness. Books: philosophy for life, the obstacle is the way (can’t recommend these enough!)

I started with "The Path: what Chinese philosophers can teach us about the good life", that led me to Zhangzi which was a fun read. Branched out into Buddhism - a couple Pema Chodron books and"you are here" by Thick That Hanh. Hinduism - Bhagavad Gita. So a lot of my initial readings were enchant philosophy and spiritual traditions, my I gravitate more towards the philosophy so love the summary of the book you recommended. Recently I went more modern and read Carol Dweck's classic "Mindset" which summarized a lot of the growth mindset and perspective stuff from the ancient texts. Also recently read "why greatness cannot be planned" which helped me shape my perspective on not explicitly setting far off goals that bind me to an expectation in life, but aiming more for novelty and trusting that will lead to good stepping stones in life.

I would recommend yoga! I've found a 15 minutes yoga session on YouTube by Yoga with Adriene that I do when I'm feeling really bad on a morning. Its called '15 min yoga for when you are stuck'. You don't need a mat and it's easy enough, especially for someone like me who talks themselves out of doing anything like this!

Good point, a yoga studio or small fitness studio is a great place to build community. I look forward to going back to my studio once things open up. And yoga is great for body and mind anyway, I practice every day.

@PwC the yoga instructor I mentioned has quite a solid following, but I old found her at the weekend so don't know yet about the friend-making side! Same here though, my friend circle is pretty small and the yoga community seems nice! If you're looking for a virtual yoga buddy though.....maybe we could egg each other on?! :o

Ok cool and yes definitely looking for some online buddy motivation!

Anyone else at a firm so rooted in the past that you’re embarrassed explaining it to other attorneys? Example: We are 10 months into COVID and my firm still hasn’t decided on/implemented a video meeting platform (Zoom, Teams, etc.). So if I want to have a video meeting I have to ask the other party to use their video services. And it’s not at all a funding issue.
