What video-conference platforms are your firms using and what are the pros and cons? We have Zoom but there have been security and encryption concerns as a Chinese-based company. Some clients are not comfortable using it. Looking to explore other options. Thank you!

Curious what firms are doing to keep people socializing during COVID. I miss my coworkers but I'm sick of zoom calls.

Question time! Two part. 1) What dating sites or apps are you on and 2) do you feel like it’s been particularly tough dating in your 30s/40s during COVID, assuming that we probably date (on average) more seriously than 20s peeps? I personally have only been on one date! A zoom one last week.

Can’t tell if I’m developing crushes on my coworkers only because they’re the only people I interact with (on zoom) in quarantine 😬

Are marketing agencies really required to have their employees come into the office? We all work using computers and sharing our files in the cloud, the only time we see each other is for meetings, which can absolutely be done through Zoom. How is your job handling this atm?

I love the company I work at but they are forcing everyone to return to office after two years working fully remote and the most successful eight quarters the company has had in years. People are leaving left and right forcing me and other team members to pick up the slack. For many reasons I do not want to return to office and they are standing firm on their policy. It has forced me to consider other opportunities. Anyone have any recommendations on remote opportunities?

Anybody work on a small team where you are the only diverse member? I have always worked in places where by chance the group was diverse. I just started this job and didn’t think this would bother me because everyone seemed nice. But frankly don’t understand the jokes or the stuff they want to talk about. Feeling kind of out of place and finding myself just smiling and nodding a lot in these zoom meets.

Note taking tips? I am SO bad at taking notes and remembering tasks. I have ADHD and have always struggled but for some reason it got worse in a job versus college. Does anyone know of good note taking tools? There are a few AIs that I have dabbled with for processing transcripts. Anything ideas for automated note taking and task tracker for zoom meetings? Not just a transcription tool.

What ratio of your working life so far would you say you were underpaid vs overpaid? I’d say I’m at 60 underpaid to 40 overpaid

I feel fine and not at all tired when working at a desk. But once it’s a meeting I suddenly feel exhausted, feel the urge to yawn a lot and want to just lie down afterwards. Thinking back to pre-COVID I felt this a lot but didn’t realize what was causing it.

Anyone else experience this? Is it some type of subconscious anxiety?
