I was a cashier at a grocery store. Best job I ever had. I got to talk with everyone and make them smile and no endless rounds of feedback or rejection. Each client was 5 mins and gone. THE BEST.
Agreed! If I could make MONEY at it. Done. If I win the lottery ya’ll can find me in checkout 3.
Graveyard shift at Jack in the Box next to the bar where Twisted Sister was the house band. Favorite job ever. To this day.
Mine was delivering pizza during summer. Cruising around, classic rock radio turned up, making tax-free cash, partying with friends after work then doing it again the next day.

I was a music associate at a virgin records (remember those?!?!) just hanging out listening to music, helping people get cds, and once in an while be the dj in the booth.

Writing product copy for dildos. Still copywriting, just not at an agency.
Sporting goods store that no one came into. Us employees would have sports competitions within the store. Hide and seek. Hockey. The game “who could jump over the dumb bell rack. It was great, till we were all fired. Still look back positively.
Editor for a science magazine. Got to write about all the geeky science stuff that I was/am interested in. Got to meet some cool geeks like Elon Musk
I ran some political campaigns and when we win it was like a crack high without the crack.
Dog walker. My clients were always so happy to see me! 🐶
I used to work at Hasbro designing board games. Part of our daily job was to road-test each game with the engineers and game designers. I consistently asked myself 'am I really getting paid to play games?'. Awesome.
I started a lawn mowing business in high school. Got up to about 15 clients with rates between $50-100 a yard. They were big yards (in Kansas) but I remember how much fun it was to lay down straight stripes, get paid cash, and strategically mow the backyards when the stay at home step moms hung out by their pools 😂
That got deep fast.
Firefighter. Best job ever.
Manager of an ice cream shop over summer. Was a popular spot and made absurd cash money while gaining weight and dancing to great music.
I was a waiter at a sushi place during college. Still the best job I ever had. Place was packed so we ran off of adrenaline for 6 hours straight. The waitstaff were all friends and we all flirted nonstop during the entire shift. We would scheme on how to get bigger tips and how to get free food and drinks, and we would get to bullshit with customers all day. That job was over 10 years ago but we still keep tabs on each other. Even though many of us have real jobs, kids and mortgages now, we still look back with fondness because those were some of the best “working” times of our lives.
I worked as a waitress/beer pourer at a minor league ballpark. It was THE best job I’ve ever had. Ever. I made so much money and got to watch baseball all summer long
Starbucks Barista !!! So much fun!
Lifeguard! Worked with all of my friends and we would just mess around in the guard house whenever it was raining and still get paid for it, get to just hang out in the sun by the pool all day and then we’d all cruise around smoking massive amounts of weed when we got off of work.
