I was a cashier at a grocery store. Best job I ever had. I got to talk with everyone and make them smile and no endless rounds of feedback or rejection. Each client was 5 mins and gone. THE BEST.

Mine was delivering pizza during summer. Cruising around, classic rock radio turned up, making tax-free cash, partying with friends after work then doing it again the next day.

I used to work at Hasbro designing board games. Part of our daily job was to road-test each game with the engineers and game designers. I consistently asked myself 'am I really getting paid to play games?'. Awesome.

I started a lawn mowing business in high school. Got up to about 15 clients with rates between $50-100 a yard. They were big yards (in Kansas) but I remember how much fun it was to lay down straight stripes, get paid cash, and strategically mow the backyards when the stay at home step moms hung out by their pools 😂

Firefighter. Best job ever.

Manager of an ice cream shop over summer. Was a popular spot and made absurd cash money while gaining weight and dancing to great music.

I was a waiter at a sushi place during college. Still the best job I ever had. Place was packed so we ran off of adrenaline for 6 hours straight. The waitstaff were all friends and we all flirted nonstop during the entire shift. We would scheme on how to get bigger tips and how to get free food and drinks, and we would get to bullshit with customers all day. That job was over 10 years ago but we still keep tabs on each other. Even though many of us have real jobs, kids and mortgages now, we still look back with fondness because those were some of the best “working” times of our lives.

I worked as a waitress/beer pourer at a minor league ballpark. It was THE best job I’ve ever had. Ever. I made so much money and got to watch baseball all summer long

like

Starbucks Barista !!! So much fun!

like

Lifeguard! Worked with all of my friends and we would just mess around in the guard house whenever it was raining and still get paid for it, get to just hang out in the sun by the pool all day and then we’d all cruise around smoking massive amounts of weed when we got off of work.

Hi Sharks,
I have offer from TCS from my base location & 2 product based companies from another city.
I have already denied over mail to TCS that I cannot join as I have better offers in hand & they ignored my mail for counter offer.
I have to now deny company A of other city whose HR was advising to not deny joining once u accept the offer.
Company B is one of my dream companies & offered the highest among all 3. What should I say to the HR of A? Will they blacklist me if I don't join?

Since joining my company 3 years ago my target has increased 45% my basic has increased 3%.

I have always been informed my basic is based on target.

Last 3 years the entire sales team hasn't made target in my product.

Anyone else seen this trend?

I've swallowed it but seeing the pressure from the increased target and the stress causing I'm thinking that wasn't wise.

Even though we're busier than ever during COVID, I feel less burnt out than I usually do. There's something pure about our work and contribution in this crisis

What is a useful, comprehensive but not too long of a book for parenting toddlers?

LO is 16 months old, very sweet and social, at the park every day with other kids with either me or her nanny. Not in day care. Yesterday we had a play date and she slapped another baby on the head. Not hard and did not scare her, but the act of “aggression” took me by surprise and I felt terrible about it. I’d like to be more proactive about toddler psychology, what’s to come and how to react/ teach. TY!

For reference, I’m in the Account/Project Management space and have 8+ years of experience. And I’d ideally like the rate to result in more $$ than what I was making when salaried. Thanks!
