Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.

Learn to edit, agencies like making people do 25 different roles now
Apply for coordinator roles
I was the creative assistant to the production broadcast and business group. I was very clear with the agency that my sights were on production for my career path, and I spent a lot of time after hours helping with director searches, contracts, etc. was promised to associate producer within 1.5 yrs.
Account Assistant. I kept making informational interviews with producers until a job opened up and I moved into production.
Same as SP1, I started as a coordinator for Creative Services (missed out on a JP role but found another place at the agency with persistence). Through my contacts at that agency, after about a year I moved to another city to take a role as Production Coordinator and became a Jr Producer after about a year and a half. I was dead broke for that while time but it was worth the journey to do what I wanted to do.
I started out as an Account Coordinator on a very busy retail account. I graduated when the economy shit the bed so I was desperate to get into the industry in any capacity. That being said, I took advantage of meeting and learning from the producers, HOP, BMs, talent, traffic etc. Learn how they work - build relationships with them. This homework goes a long way. I was able to transition to production in a place where people already knew me and understood my work ethic. At minimum it’s a way into the industry even if it’s not the desired role.
im actually a freelance editor right now, just graduated in may, how do i best position myself to be an agency producer?
That’s what I’ve been doing- informational interviews. Hoping that helps!
