Do you have to only receive “far exceeds expectations” to be a superstar Junior/Mid-level and eventually make it to Partnership/Counsel? They’d already asked me in the initial HR screening and informed me my number was a little over their cap and told me what their cap was. So this time I asked for $1k under the cap.
