I'm about to join the new company next week 3 aug 22. EPAM will put me on bench but global logic will have product based company project from day 1. I am confused which to join as I heard lots of bad reviews on EPAM and epam hr gave hope of permenant onsite after 1 year. Pls help me.
How do you deal with such situation. JAN, Dec, for a new project agreement happens on language, best practices, library, architecture. The second lead goes for a paternity break for 1.5 months. The other team continues development, codebase, cice pipeline, ux designs. Etc.
The second lead comes back. ASSUMES nothing is done, have a meeting with EM, Architect and goes on to work on new architecture. Redefine everything and openly saying no work has been done in 2 months.

When I started with the firm, basically every person in the meeting room had Tags on their wrists except for the partners with rolexes. I wear my Tag and it’s not considered expensive. Not sure what your definition of flashy is OP
Be yourself man. If you’ve got flashy watches go wear them. I don’t think anyone would react negatively to you wearing a nice watch. I, myself, prefer Fossil, Timex, and Skagen watches. But to each their own
None, because my cellphone has a clock?
I’ve got a shinola to rep Detroit
Mostly rotate between a few PP. Seiko if we’re doing cost cutting.
AP for strategy studies. Yachtmaster for cost transformations.
I just wear a regular $100 Fossil watch. Might upgrade to Shinola when I make Director and some fancy high end Tag/Breitling if/when I make Partner
@PW3 my clients are private equity so I'm always the poor person in the room ;)
Panerai 111 or Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean with gray bezel. 99% of people don’t recognize the panerai as being expensive, the Omega is a bit more flashy but still like 1/3-1/4 the price of a Rolex.
Depends...I’m an ops guy who has advised clients to lay off people...don’t think it’s a good idea with a Rolex. And clients do notice things - they aren’t as dumb as you think
Breitling Bentley
I wear my Garmin and my clients have asked to join my step and run groups when they notice.
If you got it flaunt it. Most people don’t know much about watches. The most expensive watch i wear is 18k, but if I had a 100k watch I would wear it
A Sinn. Not a very well known brand. But has a cult following.
Longines for me.
I just got a fossil hybrid for <$100; has a great dial and a handy smartwatch
@McK1 could always go Grand Seiko for cost cutting...
Yes clients really appreciate the reminder of how a consultant often makes as much as an industry vp
I wear my Tags half the time, but pull out my massive Breitling diver as well without issue
