Started with chills/fever. Went away and better. Then fever came back daily. Kinda disappeared. Then the aches. Oh boy the aches. Shout to Tylenol. You guys crushed it. Every 4 hours needed to pop some. Then chest pressure. Hit up the doc. Hooked it up w a z pack and I was brand new. Then it came back. Then another round of z pack. Would say it definitely hits hard after you run yourself down( busy season and a binge night). Vitamins and constant breathing in boiling water to free up the lungs.

It worked. So dk what to tell you

About a month ago, I had trouble breathing a bit, cough, tired, and slight aches. I have asthma and allergies, so this happens at any point in the year. But, obviously with coronavirus I started to freak out. Went to get a test and it was negative - huge relief. Point is, if you can go to a nearby testing center and get one do it. It’s free and takes not much time. The test sucks, but the peace of mind is worth it. If you do have it, early intervention is key. Either way, it’s worth it.

For me, that sounds like seasonal allergies.

I thought I had allergies- then my gf (that I share a small apartment with 24/7) tested positive for covid (also thought she had allergies but work required testing)- so I got it, got over it, feel fine. At least be reassured that for most people getting covid is a non-event.

Just get some disinfectant or light rays shot into the body.

I don't remember having a sore throat, but I was so tired. I remember being absolutely exhausted after working 6 hours-I felt like I had worked 14. I felt that was for a couple of days.

like

Same, utterly exhausted and having some stomach issues almost like a flu. Then headache and aches started.

Ok, so far no chills/fever. It’s more throat is sore / itchy, back of neck hurts and just feeling exhausted. Maybe it is allergies then..

Hey, nothing has developed. Seems like it might be allergies. I’ve been visiting my family in a different state and I may not be accustomed to the blooms / pollen out here.

sounds about right. it should get worse daily. headaches. get a test.

I had a dry cough for about a week or so before. Then flu like symptoms (tired / headache / fever) then body aches came.

The energy part came after.

The first symptoms that I felt were the aches with mild fever. I would get so exhausted for no reason. I couldn't sit in a chair and work for even 30 mins or even have any energy to go use bathroom. I thought I needed some sugar to pick me up, and soon realized taste of certain things were gone. I could taste spicy and sour but nothing sweet and salty. (e.g. couldn't taste sweetness in chocolate and saltiness in salt and vinegar chips). Then I couldn't smell essential oils and finally I had dry cough. The aches and cough are still there. Taste is kind of coming back.

This was me with COVID 100%. My fever never exceeded 101*, and I had such exhaustion I couldn’t even sit up, like SA1 is describing. I also had what my husband (who was also positive) and I called “marbles in the brain” where you cannot function, compute, focus, or do much of anything useful. At all. For a little over 14 days. No lung issues though for us (thankfully!) just debilitating headache and COMPLETE inability to function (or taste). Please don’t get it! (But for real, get tested!!)

Thank you guys for sharing these! I’m on the lookout for the next few days. If I develop a fever and other symptoms you’ve mentioned, I’ll order in home test. I’m hoping it’s just as allergies as VP1 mentioned. Also! I hope everyone here is feeling better !

Just go get tested as soon as you can. Early detection is key. Remember a lot of people don't even show symptoms even though they are infected.

Woke up, my lungs felt sunburned and I was gasping for breath. Having Covid is kind of like love. If you have it, you know.

Just want to thank the people in this bowl for giving me advice on several posts awhile back post-COVID layoffs. Had taken on 2 other (senior) people’s jobs/duties and then successfully managed and executed 3 major projects, I finally asked my new boss (team lead) about a title change and I’m glad I did! It was definitely something he had not thought about but could see the clear reasoning behind it and was willing to go to HR to ask if it was possible.

My SO got a great job offer in Bangkok and we need to decide soon. I’ve always been very independent and never followed a partner to another city or country. Due to covid I recently got laid off and am already not in my home country but have lived here over 7 years. Any advice? Me following him or we both try to find another job in the country we are in now.

Ladies, I need advice. I’m mid-20s and feeling painfully lost. For most of my younger years, my identity was rooted heavily in my friendships and social life. Graduating college and then obviously the pandemic took a toll on that, I moved home and many of my friends left the city I had lived in pre-covid. Flash forward to the world reopening, I don’t like my job, my friends live all over, I have a nonexistent love life, and I don’t know what to do next

I’m in Tax and completing the mandatory GAM WBL. Usually, this course it presented at ETU and can be described as three monotone panelists speaking for two hours without any inflection whatsoever. This year, due to COVID, it’s presented as WBL. However, instead of a new and interesting format, it’s just a recording of the same humdrum blithering. Except now, I get to listen to it with my children fighting in the background.

I just want to hear the explanation for why staff who started during COVID are doing so badly on average (and I have heard this from every level including staff themselves) from the pro 100 percent work from home people. If you agree it’s real, what is your solution? If it can’t be fixed, are we just accepting that the people we expect to backfill our positions aren’t going to be ready?

Neither of my parents have a 401k, investments, or savings. They have nothing. I want to help them retire at 65 which would be about 15 years away. I’m looking to put about $15k/ year until then into an account for them. A couple questions i have though: 1. What type of investment account would be best to maximize? 2. Once gifted to them, will they be taxed if they receive a certain amount? I have little to no knowledge in investing so I’m open to any other ideas and/or advice.
