don’t need advice but thought i would share my recent experience. i was recruited by a headhunter and disclosed to her my current salary and what it would take to get me out the door and what would be a target (5k above that). she submitted me for a job, i interviewed, and was offered at the targeted amount plus a possible annual bonus (<10%). i’m mostly happy with the experience, but have some regret at having disclosed, because she told the company, and possibly they might have offered more.

Recruiters out there…. I am interviewing for my DREAM job. It’s a 4 step process. I interviewed with the recruiter and it seemed to go well but I’m not sure if I messed up at the salary expectations. After doing a internet search for the job salary I was under the impression it’s was between 87-110k. When I asked if that was accurate I was told no and it’s between 75-87k. I proceeded to say my range is between 85k-90. Did I aim too high ? I’m nervous that I will be out of budget. Help!
