Hello, I just had to vent a little and maybe ask for your opinion. So I’ve been working at my job for four years now and I’ve never gotten a promotion. On top of this, I do extra duties that my coworkers don’t do and struggle with the work load. I feel like I’m being taken advantage of and am not sure what to do. I feel like going to my boss and refusing to continue to do these extra tasks without extra compensation. Am I being a baby about this?

I’m in kind of a weird scenario. Graduated BioMed, started out working in-lab doing QC. But I learned some data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Apps Scripts, Alteryx), connected with a data engineer at the company, and now I report to him doing dashboarding, data pipeline automation, and ad hoc reporting. I joined Byju's 6 months back, as a Software Engineer.
At that time I had 2 YOE and my CTC was 10LPA.
I was offered 15LPA by Byju's and I accepted it and joined them.

Now I see new joinees with less than 1YOE joining Byju's with 18-20LPA, what should I do?

How do people network naturally? I’ve applied for numerous software engineering intern positions, but I have yet to move past applying. I know networking is key, but I just feel awkward and in a way “dirty”… like I don’t want to feel too pushy or impede on people’s time to get into tech. Could someone offer any advice on how to word a message that sounds natural and sincere? I’m looking to get in contact with both recruiters and people already working in positions that I’d want.

Recently accepted a great offer from one of those startup-within-a-large-company outfits. The startup farms out the hiring stuff to the larger company. In the new hire paperwork, I noticed it said the comp was based on my being in a Tier 1 CoL city. Prior to accepting I'd mentioned to the startup I was looking to move, and they said it shouldn't be an issue. Will they adjust my comp down if I move to a Tier 2 city? Startup is fully distributed and remote.

Didn’t hear back, & a third-party recruiter reached out regarding an actual opening. Since I’d already submitted my materials, I can’t work with said recruiter.
