KPMG's offer letter clause says "Purchase of computer at home: Rs.xx/- p.a. for all employees and one purchase is allowed for period of 36 months." Will this amount be part of my annual salary or would I be getting it only once in 36 months? + Are the laptops provided by the company or do we have to purchase our own (asking because of the above clause)

How do you mentally deal with the stress of this work and these (demanding Wall Street) clients? I’m a senior m&a associate leading multiple deals and every client wants a quick turn around and response times around the clock which is impossible to keep up for each one. I feel like im not giving the best service even though I’m working late nights and weekends. I’m close to promotion but wondering if I’m not cut out for this (seeing some health affects) or if all I need is a mindset change.

Humble brag: Today 7 years ago was when I moved to the US and started my MBA in an Ivy League school (30% scholarship, 70% loans). Before that I was working as a petroleum engineer in a 3rd world country (not India) for $25K a year and rented a studio apartment with my wife. Today I am making x10 and our household income is x15 (spouse is a data scientist) I know that same age peers are Partners / MDs, I know that MBB peers are making 30-40% more. I don't care. Venting: Why do people with poor interpersonal and management skills keep getting promoted to manage people? I know that experience is valuable, but so is being able to lead well, encouraging your people, avoiding passive aggression, and not insulting everyone for minor typos when your own emails are atrocious. It just feels like no one cares to invest in leadership training for paralegals and support staff.
