I am currently at a firm and received an in-house offer. I recently gave interview for SAP labs india , cleared all the rounds and got the call from HR for salary discussion, everything was agreed and HR said I will be receiving proposal offer by the end of the day which I need to accept and after that they will be releasing offer letter , it's been almost a week since the call , HR is not picking up and I haven't recieved any mail yet . Realistically, how long would you say it should take to get through ~3,000 documents of doc. review?

In CA, if an employee has to call his employer the night before to see if they are scheduled to work the following day, do they need to be compensated anything if they are NOT called in? For instance, let’s say this person kept the following day open and did not make any plans only to find out at 9pm the previous day that he is not needed. If he was called in, he would not have the option to turn it down.

I just had a performance review at a biglaw firm. It was my first review since I lateraled from a small firm in my 6th year of practice. The review was very positive and the panel went through all the comments left by the partner reviewers, except one. One partner said: “showed he is able to perform at the level of a partner.” He’s the only partner to have said that. Anything to read into based upon the way this comment was ignored? Partner came up to my cubicle today while my back was turned. Shouted my name which startled me. I audibly farted as a result - he then turned and walked away.

Feeling disheartened as I was laid off from a job that I really loved. This is the absolute worst time of year to be looking for a job. Trying to remain positive but a lot of the positions that I see open don’t even compare to the job I was let go from.

If an associate exceeds his hours/collections, gets his work done, etc., but is typically in the office from 6:30am - 4:45pm so that he can see his family in the evening, do you view this negatively?
