Lots of “deloitte days” and extra days off this year. Do other big 4 do this? It’s been nice to get extra vacation
Whenever I meet someone, they think I am a lot younger than I am. For example, they’ll ask if I am right out college or an associate when I am Manager and have been at various Big 4 firms for almost 6 years. I can’t help feeling devalued based on the way that I look. I am 5’3’’ and I am Asian, so I naturally look younger. I think that I do my make up pretty well and dress very clean/professional/trendy. What am I doing wrong? Or is it just society and I can’t change that
Within the big 4 in the UK. Which firm has the best consulting practice in terms of prestige, pay, reputation, clients and progression
Wondering if anyone can give me some guidance. I work as Financial Services Tax Staff currently (Senior in Oct) but i’m trying to possibly leave the big 4 after the promotion. I am interested in changing my path to Private Client Services but i’m not sure if that will be possible as most of my experience is Partnerships (Private Equity & Hedge Funds) Do you think I will have to start over in ranks to do this? What would you recommend?
Is big 4 company providing platforms for self learning? Eg:cloud certification courses for free, free access to Udemy
Outside of the Big 4, are any other consulting firms known/respected for their finance and accounting consulting wings?
I joined KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice straight from college and am approaching my 6 month mark here. I want to jump over to IB, realistically targeting an MMIB. That said, what would be some ways to present myself as a strong candidate over someone coming in from a tiny boutique shop? I know that modeling, BIWS 400, and networking is key, but I’m not sure what else to do to stand out. Also is CPA even worth it? Would love to hear from y’all, esp from former FDD/B4 folks that made it.
Hi y'all, I eventually want to get into a COO/Head of Operations type of role in the AI/ML space. My background: I have about 4+ years operations (chemical engineering), 1 year in a DS type role, 2+ in digital strategy consulting (Big 4) and customer engagement (SaaS start up). What would you recommend my next role entail to get into an Operations leadership position? I'm getting into more Customer Ops, but I've heard a role in Product Management might help as well. All advice is welcome!
I am motivated by Comp, 1 year out undergrad making 70k as an auditor at a big 4 firm. What options should I look for to increase Comp? I’m think of going back to college/self teaching to learn actual high income skills. Any recommendations on what to do or learn ? I don’t think audit will ever give me opportunity to gain the comp I one day want
Earlier this year I was making $75k as an FA and now $90k as an SFA in OC which is pretty much market value (4yrs exp - 2 in B4). I wanted that raise to $90k for a while and now that I have it, I catch myself thinking about wanting more & more money, even though I have more than enough to live out my means. Anyone else think about this often? And how can I stop?
Hello Fishes, I received a call for interview from Deloitte. However I don't have all the skills/exposure mentioned in JD. Has anyone cleared an interview with similar scenario in big 4?

What's a good reason to give if you're switching from one firm to the other among the big 4?
Hello guys, YoE -3 Offer in hand KPMG - 11 lPA for PMO Role Berkadia - 14.5 LPA for Scrum Master Role Invesco - 16 LPA for Scrum Master Role Which one to choose? Choosing others would mean I will be out of Big 4, but other firm offers are juicy in the role and pay, hence the oscillation
Anyone here happy with their role and interesting work, but not with comp and career growth opportunities? Finding myself really enjoying the work, but upward mobility feels slim. Disclaimer: Moved to industry after several years at Big 4

I have reason to believe that HR at the company that I have interviewed at received personal details that aren’t supposed to be divulged when they contact the previous company which negatively
When the Marriott lounge manager emails you 2 months after your last project ended to see how you're doing...😑😑
I applied to all three MBB firms via their careers page with no referral. I have my final round with McKinsey, rejected by Boston, and no reply from Bain. Any thoughts on how to verify if I’ve been rejected by Bain even though the portal says it’s still pending for 2 months? The portal will not let me reapply for any position while the current app is pending. Thanks!

Shout out to that 1 client who gets how shitty being a consultant can be & defends you/your tasks during a project meeting verbal-gang-rape. The real MVP.
Whenever I work remote (at home), I am really unproductive and work realistically for 3-4hours. Is this normal? What are your tricks to stay focused?
Client regularly gets drunk at dinners and touches my chest and legs 😂. She's cool and I'm not getting much action otherwise so I'm cool with it. I think my SM feels threatened though.
PwC: Going Google - yay or nay?
Hi! Anyone from Accenture strategy know the average raise % per year for a consultant? I’ve received an offer, and this is really my only pending question - haven’t been able to get a clear answer from HR..
New in consulting and on the beach after my first 6 month long project. Makes me wonder if I bombed it? Anyone ever had those thoughts?
