What would be good consulting companies (e.g., Big 4) I could join after MBB? Which companies would be interest in hiring ex-MBBs where you could get comparable benefits, a similar trajectory, and a higher position from the start?

Joining B4 after MBB is like going to high school after college. No reason whatsoever.

To your second question, PE/Banking or tech will give you similar/better comp trajectory.

My team has 2 ex-MBB 🤷🏼

Why not exit to industry? If you want to stay in consulting, stay at MBB

I'm a bit confused-- are you asking if any consulting firms would take a former MBB intern/ analyst and hire them at a higher level because MBB is such a strong brand?

That doesn't really happen. MBB pays the most for entry level talent and promotes quickly

Also exits care more about YOE and promotions than level

Crying for my RSUs….started at my company about 6 months ago and got some RSUs split over 3 years. Turns out the stock price at time of my hiring (which is what was used to calculate the number of shares over the three years) was the highest it’s ever been. Stock price has been cut in half since then, along with my RSU value. 😭 how do I cope?

Just accepted an offer with a psych startup. Not exactly the offer I was hoping for as I’m taking a slight pay cut ($73/hr) and it’s a 1099 position. I keep getting stuck on the 1099 piece because I’ll be working 40 hrs/wk, but have been told I’m not eligible to be a W2 employee. Needless to say, no benefits whatsoever. They don’t even provide a computer or any other remote equipment for the completely remote position. Am I making a mistake? Also, can anyone chime in about being a 1099 employee?
