Interviewing question: for anecdotal “tell me abt a time when..”, & similar questions - are you allowed to recycle stories from your undergrad years or do they only look for post grad/work stuff? Afraid some of the stories that sounded okay at undergrad recruiting might now come across as a bit “lightweight” in this context...like would they eye roll if we start talking about that one time we did a science competition sophomore year of college (even though it taught an important lesson)..etc.🤔

I’m a SPED teacher, & my principals ALWAYS seem to visit my room as soon as I give my student(s) a break from their work or when they’ve finished early everything I had planned. They RARELY come in when I’m actually in the middle of making progress on a lesson. It makes me feel like I have to be defensive & justify why the students aren’t working. Does this happen to anyone else?

Can you guys help me figure out how to design some lessons where the students are (fairly) engaged but I don’t feel the need to give a grade. We’ve got A LOT of grades already, so I was hoping to design some lessons that I don’t need to grade, yet feel the students will still participate, be engaged, and even have some fun. Why someone wants to join TCS? Working for TATAs somehow gives you a life lesson to adjust with less. They don't give good hikes to loyal employees who are sticking with tcs in tough times. They discourage employess by not giving proper projects or work culture. Work life is imbalanced , personal life is imbalanced. No transparency for promotions, no fixed rules. They want seniors to leave voluntarily by suffocating them in their toxic environment. I would never ask anyone to join TCS.

In the final 2 weeks of my Masters Program semester, and I always feel like I am having to make impossible choices between data management, lesson prep, masters, health, and family time. Anyone else?

Got a bit too drunk at a work happy hour. Nothing embarrassing happened but I definitely blacked out and could’ve said stuff that I wouldn’t have said sober. Everyone else was also drinking quite a bit, so it was fine but not ideal and I’ve just been ashamed. Lesson learned. This happen to anyone? How do you get over the shame/anxiety of “what happened?”

Read that Deloitte was standing up the NYC unemployment call center. I’m getting staffed to a call center that is just getting stood up, too. Had the worst Uber experience ever yesterday! Six terrible drivers that had cars full of trash, did not even find my pick up place, called and decided the ride was not long enough, accepted but...

Why is everyone so against talking to Uber drivers? I enjoy talking to them, nice to get away from corporate culture as well.

Ok serious question here. I hate cleaning the bathroom the most. What do you use to clean your tub (especially around the caulk area)? I can’t hire a house cleaner, so I need advice on cleaning products that actually work and aren’t too toxic. I’ve tried everything but the mildew/scum doesn’t come off of the caulk around the tub.
