What would be the reasons to be classified as an exempt employee and not get OT? Bc of covid?

My boyfriend is finally able to get his covid vaccine next week after having been out of the ICU for having had COVID and pneumonia. I’m super worried about him and how sick he might get, as I got very sick from the shots after having contracted a minor COVID infection, myself, early this year. Has anyone experience this scenario? Any tips or things I should be aware of or watch out for? (Presuming he is going to not feel well and I’ll be taking care of him)

My org has been flexible on RTO but has said they want everyone in office for specific meetings we have 2 days every quarter. These meetings work better in person. Travel is reimbursed. I’ve let my direct reports know that aside from those quarterly days, they can do what’s best for them. I have one direct who has been pushing back about the 2 days a quarter b/c he wants 100% remote & never wants to be in an office again. Am I crazy for thinking he’s being ridiculous? It’s 8 days a year total.

Met this guy 4 weeks ago. He lives 4 hours away and has already been down to see me twice and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights each time. Pays for every date even though I offer to pay. He is awesome and I really like him! However, he was traveling for work last week so our communication went from checking in everyday to one 15 min call middle of the week.
