Which firms are back to traveling a decent bit / back to usual? I might not be able to travel until next year with this client and miss it - the travel keeps me going!
Fellow consultants flying Delta, as that annoying hi ho commercial says: "The ones who truly change the world are the ones that can't wait to get out in it"
Got offer from a top 10 PE firm, but it’s a senior position in Corp accounting. Base comp increased by 13%. Currently M1, not sure if should I take the job for money or should pass because it’s a step down on title. Hours are about 40-50/wk
Does anyone have any advice on how to figure out what the average multiplier for billable hours is in a certain city? If this isn’t clear, I’ll receive x ($) times (the difference between my max billable hours and my min) as my yearly bonus. I know what number my firm uses but was told it’s been the same for years. I’d love to advocate for a raise with numbers reflecting averages in our city but have no idea how to find this information. Thanks!
My overdue promotion (PM to Sr PM) is in progress, but processing is taking a while due to company Covid delays. Is it inappropriate to ask my manager what the salary increase will be? (It’s killing me to wait and wonder if it’s lower than I’m expecting)
Have a ton of Aeroplan points saved up. Debating whether to save them for travel or use them for an Apple Watch. Any tips? Is it generally better value to use them for travelling?
Thoughts on Costco sofa sets / sectionals? Not the most stylish, but looking for comfy and durable and strain resistant to survive baby and dog and extended family. Doesn't need to last forever, but 5 years of enjoyable comfy sitting, sleeping and reasonable use is all I expect. Had a trendy gorgeous velvet masterpiece before baby. I miss those days. 😔 Anyway, any advice, fabrics, or other things to consider?
Fellow 🐟..I lead a business innovation team for a fortune 50 CPG company..we are hiring an associate manager in the PMO team. Ideal candidate with 2 to 3 years of consulting experience. DM me if you are interested or know someone who is looking for a role. Location dallas or NYC. Thanks
Not that I or someone I know is in a situation, but I was just thinking if you guys have a contingency plan in case things go south at work. Mainly with respect to sustaining immigration nightmares. Specially at experienced M/ SM level people get canned without prior notice. And now that Deloitte has asked staff to find work for 45 hours every week it's going to get more and more challenging on mid senior level as well. How are you guys preparing for the rainy day?
Anyone here work with diagnostic labs such as labcorp etc? What’s a good book/resource to get up to speed with the ins and outs of diagnostic lab business? Landed a long term project
Looking for some insight on Accenture Interactive culture. Have had no luck researching online and this bowl.
I’m quarantined w my aunt, uncle, brother and cousin at the moment. I show that I’m really happy all day but every night before I go to sleep I cry like a baby. Sometimes even during the middle of the day I take bathroom breaks to shed some tears. I don’t know who I’ve become and why this is happening - I lost my job and am dating a boy who doesn’t seem to care about me. Some days are better than others and that keeps me going.
I’m applying for roles as a software development manager in NYC and both tech and finance companies. I have 15 years experience in tech. Not from the US and only moved here last year. Does anyone know the ballpark salary range?
What is a typical salary for an SC at D, no MBA in a city like San Francisco? I came in with 5+ years of experience as a C and feel I should have came in as SC. Fighting for early promo this year.
What was your hiring process like in big 4 NYC office? How did you apply? How long before they reached out for an interview? Any feedback is appreciated!
Will a cloud certification benefit me at all if I am a strategy consultant? Very early career (2YOE) but Deloitte is offering a sure fire and free way to get certified in 10 weeks
Life as a teacher is difficult. It is stressful as a those in the medical and law enforcement profession. These are simple facts that people don't get about what we do.
So today I was promoted to senior associate after just over 5 years at the firm. But I still want to leave. So my question is this - how many months should I stay for the guilt (explained below) to fade away before I leave? Guilt - the firm allowed me to work remotely in another country as I pursue a postgraduate degree. There are better opportunities in this country and the salary I would get as a starting salary here can never be matched by the firm.
