What would not having a second stimulus mean for stocks 6-12 months from now? I’m assuming it hurts stocks but increases the value of USD?

There will be stimulus, just a matter of when and how much. Its pretty much 100% guaranteed no matter outcome of election. If dems sweep, we will likely see more stimulus.

like

Stimulus by itself likely won’t cause inflation.

Rather, inflation will likely be the result of policy actions by fed et al (whether intended or not).

Will be interesting if we arrive at 2-3% inflation in current rate environment causing negative real yields.

Despite the rhetoric today, there’s still time for a stimulus plan prior to the election. It’s all politics and each side is trying to play the hero.

Hey Fish - looking for some input on the following: I bought a beach rental property early on in the pandemic for 365k. In the current market, I could sell for 585-600 based on my agent and recent comps in the area. I initially bought as a long term hold but am considering cashing out for a quick buck. Otherwise I’m set to gross about $60k and net 30 this year through short term rentals. Anything I should be thinking about other than taxes and commissions?

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

GHIV update/retro: I was incorrectly too bullish the past 2 weeks (held 3k+ calls) and I increased my risk when I should have decreased it. Nonetheless those who took my low-risk strategy with $10 calls should still be up 100%+. The positive catalyst of the Tuesday webinar did not materialize because CEO was wary to influence stock price. Now the earnings report - which I am still very bullish on - is coming early February (merger is next week). GHIV still takes up most of my portfolio.
