my bad. and yes, staff 2 to senior is almost a "given" thing in EY. i have never heard anyone doesnt get promoted with your current util etc.

Agree with EY1! Also depends on the counselor/ round table decisions. I have colleagues that bootlick and have no idea about the work we do, get better rating than people that actually deserve.

Question: What incentive do consultants have to work more efficiently than coworkers since billing is done hourly, not by deliverable? A relevant hypothetical: 1. Consultant A can get task X done in 2 hours. 2. Consultant B can get task X done in 8 hours. 3. Let both A & B work an 8 hour work day. 4. In 8 hours, A can complete task X four times while B completes task X once. 5. Since consulting is billed hourly, both consultants get the same utilization and billable hours from the client.

I have one interview round left with a startup. It’s with a member of the company’s c-suite and has been rescheduled twice (still waiting on the new time to come through). I’ve told myself that it’s completely normal with someone at that level but also worry that it might be because I’m not being seriously considered. Am I overthinking? Anyone here have ADHD? I'm interested to hear your experiences of how that interacts with a high-pressure, working all hours kinda job. Happy to hear from partners/spouses of ADHD folks too. My partner was diagnosed a few years ago and we are making slow but steady progress in terms of him articulating how that makes certain things really hard for him. He's a tax lawyer so occasionally pulling crazy hours, more so lately. We are both still WFH, which doesn't help.

I’m in a V30’s overseas office for a 2 years contract. The culture is toxic, the firm doesn’t provide enough training and support for first years and I’m regretting the decision of moving for the firm. I don’t have a perfect GPA but have relatively interesting undergraduate internships/startup experience.
