Hopefully we go with consulting

Well if we go to consulting, hopefully it’d mean independence and conflicts would be a thing of the past, which would mean I don’t have to interact with our QRM leader anymore. (IYKYK)

That I could live with; “quality in everything we do” and all. It’s the attitude I find offputting.

I can’t imagine it would stay in audit. Too many conflicts. Besides it’s not like Forensics works on the financial audits.

like

I think (hope) we go to consulting, with some people staying behind to offer forensics services for enhanced audits, especially if that becomes a part of the audit like in other countries.

Prob go with Advisory

like

I suspect the majority of Forensics would merge with business consulting. We’ve been partnering for years so it only makes sense. Our work is more advisory in nature and not much work on audits.

TBD!

If we would go to consulting, do you think that would mean our salaries should be increased to be more in line with the consulting salaries?

That sounds right, I was paid a little less than that when I was a senior in MCOL 5 years ago so adjusting for inflation or whatever it’s around 80.

A friend who works for a large well-known org has reached for advice on a sticky matter. A personnel document containing details of her performance review was accidentally sent to a 100+ member group by a VP. While access was revoked, there were a handful of people who saw and opened the document. She’s furious. I told her that she has little recourse that I know of, but she’s in a unionized environment and thinks she does. Anyone have any experience or insight to share?
