You pay for one month of COBRA so you remain insured
But you have 60 days to enroll and enrollment is retroactive (so there is no gap in coverage anyway if you do enroll). So you can basically avoid paying for a month of it.
Sometimes if you quit a job you can still be covered for the remainder of a month - ex: I quit a job intentionally on the 1st of a new month so I was covered until my new policy kicked in on the 1st of next month, check your benefits to see if this is the case and just plan your notice and new start date accordingly
I heard thats also the case with this company I’m trying to leave.
What's your coverage right now ?
Still on company group health insurance plan, if that’s what you’re asking 🤔
