What would you do if you found out today that you only had a few months to live? I recently had a health scare and was (thankfully) misdiagnosed, so it was a false alarm, but it really put life in perspective for me.

Curious thoughts: What would you say puts the most pressure on insurance companies to settle cases? Upcoming trial, risk of bad faith exposure, a bad witness, a screw up pre-suit, etc?

Anybody scared that COVID is going the same route as HIV. I know they are fundamentally different, but if we don’t manage to get herd immunity(by vaccines or eradication) it’s going to be something that is ever present for the next 10-20-30 years. Always a threat, but we find ways to mitigate by either wearing masks always, or quarantine any time you get tested positive.

I will be going back to work after a STD leave due to stress (both personal & professional). I feel like I'm ready and am looking forward to work even. Today I was told that the insurance company recommends a gradual return to work (3h/d ) for the first few weeks. Now I'm nervous about how that will be perceived by my practice, which focuses on chargeability. I'd rather go back at a 100% capacity to avoid any negative perception.
