I started first year on trial basis at firm that hadn’t been looking to hire. In Texas in practice area that cannot charge as much per hour as other practice areas. Same size firm, not a glamorous law firm. I started out at $45,500 in 2016. It was pretty low but my salary grew quickly. My 3rd year I was at $90,000 salary. Hopefully that helps.

I started at 65,000 at a 15 attorney well established firm in Iowa. After first year bumped up to 72,500.

When I cross checked mail address with my friend in tech Mahindra, he confirmed that such hr exists with same e-mail id. Is it normal in tech Mahindra?

Plaintiffs counsel took my clients deposition today. He mentioned that he would likely be ordering the transcripts and I suggested we split the cost of them (in front of court reporter). He got pretty defensive and said absolutely not, it’s unfair to the court reporter, and that it is frowned upon in the industry to do that. Each party orders (and pays for) their own copy. I’m in my 2nd year of practice, never heard such a thing. I’ve actually split the cost before! Curious for insight on this…
