Consulting

What would you prefer? Option 1: Partner level at a tier 4 consulting firm (Capgemini, IQVIA, IBM...) or Option 2: Sr Manager / Principal level at tier 2 firm (Strategy&, Alixpartners, Parthenon ...)

Option 2. Better to be a small fish in a big pond than a big fish in a small pond.

Option 2. Unless you're aging and ready to retire soon, and shouldn't be using this app xD. Otherwise you'll still make partner at Tier 2

i think i would prefer option 2, even though this isn’t a realistic comparison. the firms in option 1 do way different stuff, by and large, than in option 2.

Option 1. I’ve seen plenty of those partners cross over into tier 2. And it’s been accelerating as analytics and strategy converge.

Also something like 75% of Senior managers never make partner.

Easy choice, option 2

I'm ex-IBM, horrible place to work. Don't know much about IQVIA but from all the data points available Capgemini is even worse

IBM is tier 4?

Tier nothing they're a product company. That's like saying a cloud provider's professional services arm is a consulting firm.

Comparative to most of the T2s P1. Broader PWC is not a T2 firm

I would take option 1

I think that making it to partnership is an amazing accomplishment at any firm. I know I’m not cut out for it...

Iqvia is good if you are enthu about healthcare

Take Option 1 and build your team and crush it.
