Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

I like reimbursement. That way I'm not tempted to eat ramen or fast food just to save $. Im perfectly content ordering salads with grilled chicken that cost $20 at my hotel, which I'd never do if I was on per diem.
Per diem is set by the gov't. Varies by location. Some projects may make specific choices to let you only charge through dinner if lunch is served with meetings ect. I haven't experience that but I know Accenture does that. My current project is $59 a day
Per diem.
36 is... really low.
I spend about 400/week on food and booze so unless it's pretty high, per diem would not be good
To clarify, ACN's per diem changes based on what area you travel to. OP is probably in the middle of no where
Per diem. Save that 💰
Get that per diem arbitrage 💸
It depends...how much is the per diem?
Per diem
Old company gave per diem by the month if you traveled overseas. $3k/mo plus salary ($100/day). Those were the days!!!
Damn. My per diem is $36 a day. I feel like any sit down dinner sends me right over
True life I'm in middle of no where michigan
Reimbursement... Try all the appetizers and desserts!
Reimbursement.
How generous is the budget also plays a big factor, if I can have $60+ dinners for myself every night of the week then screw per diem lol
Hey OP! I describe our client location as middle of nowhere Michigan too 😅

Nah fam just be smart about it. For example if I'm getting $40 per diem traveling Mon-Fri you blow it on groceries Monday. That'll get you eating healthy until Wednesday and you save $40 Tue and $40 Wed. Thursday you finish off the groceries for breakfast and lunch and lo and behold you've got $120 for dinner/savings.
