Whatever happened to P5M at PwC?

Did tax ever reduce hours by the 1M or whatever the goal was?

Did associates and seniors tasks change to more consulting base vs compliance focused?

Did the hours reduced ever result in more work life balance with the capacity freed up or did volume of repetitive work just increase?

Did anyone that existed during that time feel the difference from the time invested?

Genuinely interested since it’s been a while since I worked there.

I think a lot of people are really frustrated by the incessant demand to leverage down this work, bc it comes back as absolute garbage. They tell us to train the people, but the people who are doing this work are paid so little and the turnover is terrible, training ends up being a waste of time. The tech initiatives are non existent from what I see. I am actively looking for someone to help us with some reporting stuff that could really use some tech and there is no one. So we essentially get yelled at to leverage down work, to spend less time doing things, but the resources are either not there or are genuinely really terrible.

I know Alteryx and bots have definitely been used to automate tasks in Tax. But results vary. I recently had a team of Alteryx “experts” work on a project and they charged $125k of time to the code. If I had known they were going to charge that much time, I could have used one of my staff to set up the Alteryx workflow for $25k.

Hi all,
Please help me understand if I should accept this position or not?
I was working as a regular staff therapist for 2 years at an assisted living when just 2 weeks back the HR approached me with an offer to work at a newly opened senior living, so basically I will helping them set up that location from scratch, open it and get it running. For doing all this they have not even clearly offered me a promotion, raise or a change in position. What should I do?

Please help🙏🏻

Given the strength of the dollar vs the euro, could people purchase euros here in the US (banks/money exchange stores) and sell them later when the Euro becomes stronger? Is this possible/legal? I assume taxes would need to be paid on the gains? Never dabbled in Forex so please forgive the newbie question. This scenario just keeps running through my head when I hear the news. And I keep wondering why people arent doing this 😅

I did something with a new associate that works on my projects during our last work event. We live 5 mins away and took the same Uber. When it was time for me to leave the Uber, we hugged goodbye and idk what got into us, we both gave each other that look and next thing you know we are at my apartment. We were not drunk & it was an amazing night. He has been texting me since but I told him I needed a break from him.. I am worried now to death that I will be fired. Should I just quit??

I really want to develop my newer team members but it doesn’t feel like I’m making progress. We are in different offices so my informal training with them is over phone calls, sharing screens, etc. I oftentimes will explain concepts and ask them questions to reaffirm they are understanding, but I subsequently see the same issues time and time again. It’s not just one person and it’s impacting our team’s ability to deliver to clients on time. I don’t think I’m alone here but not sure what to do.

I don’t work then past 5pm or anything out of the ordinary for this time of the year. I am so grateful!
