29F. I’ve become burnt out on spending my free time with people I don’t enjoy being around (i.e people who I feel relieved to leave after spending time with them). With that said, I’ve started to distance myself from my dad, 2 aunts, childhood best friend, and other friends. Has anyone gone through something similar? I just can’t get myself to muster the energy to be fake when I’m around them, but I feel guilty that I’m basically cutting them out of my life and am nervous I will regret doing so.

What is wrong with me? Ex banker here who got absolutely burned out and exited to PE. Learned the hard way PE was no better so I landed at a cushy Corp dev job at a large tech making 200-250 working 30 hour weeks. This sounds like the dream right? I went through an interview hoping because I am amazing they would adjust their salary offer. They gave the job offer but salary is still the same 😕. They seem nice and like a great company. But WLB is not there, a decent pay cut.

🚩 to me is that they have a $6k annual commission based on progress/ success .

But they offer snacks and drinks in the office though 😕.

I feel bad that I have to say no. Especially because they’re so nice and close to home
