That’s definitely fair, I would ask for more like 75k to be prepared for them to come back a bit lower. In this competitive market tho, I’d hope you get it if they want / need to retain you! Depends on agency performance, account size & responsibility but there are definitely Midwest agencies paying more like 85k for SAM. Does your agency have a supervisor role too? Or straight from SAM to AD?

If you’re at a large agency, sometimes they will cap raises, so 20-25% will be hard to get by staying. I got the largest raise they said was possible and still wasn’t making what I should have been making. I left and now make 85k as a SAM. So you’ll need to either switch, or bring them an offer from somewhere else and see if they can match it (but be prepared to leave if they won’t)
