Hi All. Can I get 11 likes to unlock DM?
I’m generalist in house. My general answers usually involved being more familiar with business processes and having the full business context for the work I’m doing (rather than focusing on a variety of clients with different business needs), wanting to focus on legal work rather than BD, and wanting to focus on efficiency and work product and outcomes rather than billable hours as a metric of success, along with why I was interested in that specific in house opportunity.
Being part of a team and helping build things versus just giving ad hoc advice and often never knowing how the project turned out
Pro
I was done litigating and completely burned out on the billable hour. Every GC I've ever interviewed with has understood and 100% agreed with that rationale.

Agreed. Looking for a change of pace or lifestyle change is a fine answer.
