What’s a good rate for personal training? I’d be provided with 2 plans a month & videos to accompany the plan for $120/month. I would have unlimited access to ask questions. Is this reasonable?

That's the cost of going to see someone once a week in person for 1-2 months depending on your location.

Yeah, the best trainer I ever saw was a dr. Of physiology as well. He fixed a problem that multiple physical therapists couldn’t. He was $100 an hour, and gave a you a plan, a discussion and checked your form in that hour. He also provided some details for building equipment at home using Home Depot since building was cheaper than buying fitness equipment. He set the bar for best ever, so I’d never pay more than that for someone less than he was.

120 seems a bit high but it all depends on their reputation and what you get. 120 for a program and videos is definitely not worth it. Also 2 plans a month? You shouldn't be switching programs every 2 weeks that doesnt make sense

$120 a month doesn’t sound so bad but it would really depend on what exactly is being provided - are these personalized videos? How accessible is this person?

As a comparison, I paid $50/30 mins for a personal trainer at lifetime fitness. At la fitness I paid ~30/30 mins.

My problem was primarily accountability, so I was paying for that. Personally, videos and a plan wouldn’t help me. I can find that online!

Beachbody is $99 a year. Just do it from the hotel room

Is it worth it to get an official diagnosis for autism? I heard the process takes a few months, and you have to collect a lot of things, and spend a lot of time to get it sorted. So far, I’ve just had some suggestion from the psychiatrists who diagnosed me with ADHD. You can “typicalise” ADHD, but you can only work around autism, right? What made you pursue a diagnosis?

Is it possible to be genetically predisposed to gain muscle? Ever since I was little, my doctors always commented on my BMI but never worried given how muscular I was. Since playing sports in high school and now regularly working out (cardio and weights) as an adult, I feel like I always maintain muscle mass, whether I do mostly cardio or not. This has resulted in bulking but now as I’ve tried to cut the past month, I’m not seeing weight loss. I’m counting all calories and feel stronger tho!

I developed job burnout after 3 years in a toxic firm environment. I left that firm and started working as an independent contractor at a different firm doing tax compliance. I just took about 6 weeks off after the fall tax season ended, but I have a lot of anxiety about my burnout returning. Any advice on what I should be doing to ensure I don’t burn out again?

For those struggling with depression, what were some early symptoms you had? I’m having a hard time determining if I’m in a rut or am dealing with early signs of depression. I’ve lost interest in many things, feel as though I’m just here living each day the same as the last, no motivation, low libido, doomed outlook on the future, but not necessarily sad.
