What’s a good reason for wanting to leave your firm within couple months to say for an interview?

LOL my official reason is that I’m going back to school but another unofficial reason is that I find my team boring. They’re all newly married men with young kids while I’m still trying to have fun in my 20s. My best friend is a guy in his 50s who recently got divorced.

Oh I’m not, I’m saying I’m in the same boat with the exit interview

Companies are typically willing to move past short job stints as long as what really matters is there: applicable skills, strong work ethic, a track record of achievements aka delivering value, the right attitude, and motivation. Don’t over-explain yourself. When you are asked, it’s important to display confidence and professionalism and keep your explanation short and concise. If you ramble, don’t make eye contact, or come across as negative or defensive, this may lead the interviewer to believe you’re not being completely honest. There are acceptable explanations. Such as: Perhaps your role’s responsibilities shifted unexpectedly and no longer were relevant to your interests or goals and you’re looking for something that more closely aligns with what you want to do next. Whatever your reason for leaving, or how short your employment was, there’s a chance you still learned something valuable that can be of benefit. Rather than emphasising the amount of time, turn your attention to the valuable things that you learned. Show them how you turned your short tenure into a positive by focusing on results and experiences.

Because you are an adult and can do what you want

Nah don't say that. Say it wasn't what they described or you are looking for a challenge

Idk. Get paid more? Do what you want. “At will” bro.

What’s the real reason?

You could tell future employers that your expectations on the role and type of company culture was not in line with what it actually was along with limited growth potential / options at your current work. People value honesty especially with reasons why you left and they want to see that you’re being honest with them. As long as it’s not some negative reason like you got in arguments with everyone or something you personally did, you should be fine.

How to deal with an exploding offer? I interviewed for a company and was very excited for it. 1 recruiter interview & 1 with a couple team members. Then I got a short term offer a few days later, tried to negotiate and they came back a week later with a final offer. Rate stayed the same but was told I need to answer by next day. Honestly the process has made me so stressed. I'm interviewing with another company at the same time and their process feels warm & they take their time answering

Hey Mates I'm working in pretty good fintech firm. I'm in my 30s with 2 kids and they are calling everyone to office by January I want remote job and would never want to live in any city again. Wondering which route to opt? 1. Start investing in open source and build a profile, find freelance jobs on upwork/Fiverr Or 2. Start giving interviews in remote jobs. FYI I'm terrible at interviews and spoken communications. Please provide your inputs. I want to work remote with good pay.
