Where is a new build???

Testing for sound!

My friend is a “pool consultant” ... and insists we are both “consultants” ... not looking for advice, just frustrating dealing with idiots.

Ladder at Deloitte: Analyst (~2 years) Consultant (2-3 years) Sr. Consultant (3-4 years) Manager (3-4 years, rearly 5) Sr. Manager (3-6 years) Partner/Managing Director What’s the ladder at other consulting firms? Accenture Deloitte EY PwC Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company KPMG McKinsey & Company

I know the base salary is the same between strategy and technology at the BA/BTA level but how significant are the differences in bonus as you progress through the firm?

Anyone fly Turkish Airlines before?

It is unacceptable that a Full Marriott doesn't have HBO.

In a world of remote consulting work…. How long can the US maintain its high premium over European and, esp. developing market consulting? Both price tag to clients and significantly higher salaries for the people. I imagine may move faster at Big 4, etc. than MBB, but within MBB the huge cost and salary differentials feel… increasingly hard to maintain (even though I think the differential has actually gotten bigger, not smaller in the last two years). Thoughts?

Best life lesson I learned from Deloitte: don’t ever, EVER sign a contract that demands you return the sign on bonus if you leave within a year. I thought to myself, “I would never leave a company within a year”, but I grossly underestimated how much I could hate a job.

For Big 4, how many years experience typically until senior consultant? Assuming starting out of college.

When you realize half this job is swatting sh.. out of the way so you can focus on the stuff that actually moves the needle for the client.

When you live in NYC and love how everything is almost as easy as living in a hotel. Not sure how the rest of you do it.

I’ve seen some post with folks claiming that they have $300K to $500K saved up and are between the age of 24-27.. how is this true? Tell the true story. “I still live at home and parents cover my expenses and I didn’t have student loans?” $84K (before taxes) is the average pay for Management consultants in the US (Glassdoor). Please share how you’re saving up your whole salary year after year or have multiple jobs while delivering quality work for your current employer.

Like this post if you'd rather be unemployed than work for KPMG

👶🏻 🐠 here, What mistakes/pitfalls have you made in your career that you wish had been avoided? What should a new generation of consultants look out for?
