I’m an industry senior, manager is retiring in 2 months & new tax director is joining this week. Have been at company for 15 months. Considering talking to HR & new director for a plan to grow my career at this company; company is growing & likely we will need 2 more ppl at associate/senior levels (we have 1 associate). What is a realistic time frame to set for promotion to manager & what goals should I be setting? Company is tiered partnership, acquiring new businesses & operates multi-state.

SO and I are moving from a 1BD into a 2BD for more space. If we plan to have kids - what were some important criteria / nice to have that you looked for in a place? Our 1BD is close to 800 sq ft in Manhattan.

Examples:
Separate room for the kid (must have)
Outdoor place (our current apt has a huge private park - is this useful for babies / small kids)
Bathtub - heard it makes bath time easier
Doorman / elevator (must have for us)

529 NY question. I want to setup an account for my daughter. Planning to contribute $10K to maximize the tax deduction as a married couple.
(1) Should my wife and I setup two accounts for our daughter with $5K each? Or ok to setup a single account under one of our names?
(2) Understand $10K is below the annual gift tax but 529 is considered a gift. Is it good practise to document this in some shape/form? Like a one page doc that my wife and I sign stating we gifted to a 529 $10K in 2022.
