It’s just advertising
Coming from someone at Droga5 this say a lot about our industry.
You can leave.
Success in this field is as much (if not more) about how well you can communicate your point/convince people of an answer as it is about having the answer.
The best way to get people to like working with you isn’t by being the smartest or most talented. It’s by making their lives easier.
Use this as a way to explore the world.

Finance departments run agencies. Not creative. No matter how creative the agency is.
I’d even argue it’s the Managing Director levels on Accounts
Write. A lot. Have a lot ideas to get to a good idea.
You're not born as The Smartest Person In The Room. You have to build your strategy brain over time. Be an apprentice: learn from others, do research, ask questions, be helpful, figure out how to solve problems, instead of expecting to have the answer on your tongue.

Always have more ideas than you need.
Pay attention to everything. Even if it's "not your job". Learn from everyone around you. Accounts,.production, creative, strategy, everyone.
Get money into your pension

Senior leadership loves feeling like they don’t have to have a solution to every single problem.
What does this mean exactly
Learn from your mistakes, but don’t lose sleep over them. You’re not gonna get fired even if it costs the agency actual money. You don’t handle things big enough as a junior for your mistakes to have severe consequences.
Be kind to people, especially in the other departments. Don’t buy into the whole creatives vs. accounts drama. Doesn’t mean you don’t defend the work, but be respectful. Also, those assistant AE’s end up at agencies you’ll want work at, and you’d be surprised how much a stray comment can affect your chances.
Believe in myself more.
Keep your ego under control. It’s just a job.
Use this job to get what you want (travel, education, the next career, etc)

I wish somebody told me to leave advertising for a unionized State job. I’d have a pension and retire at 50.

No one knows the right answer, everyone is just taking educated guesses.
You can leave, money is a good reason to do so, it's nice if you can be passionate about what you do but don't worry if you're not.
