What’s a polite response when your first choice employer asks you if you’re in any other interview processes? “The role at your company meets all my criteria for my next job” is all I can think of. I would hope they won’t push for more info after this.

How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.
I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.

I did get a call back to the first position I applied to; however, after the lab manager saw how much experience I had he said to release me, far too overqualified, tell him he should be applying to Senior Research Associate positions. Not sure where this post belongs because I don’t think it’s an excel solution, but I want to be able to pull data from various direct datafeeds (and be able to pull in reports from say excel as well).

I’ve worked in a PE previously and then spent last couple years with a public accounting firm and the partners are discussing partnership role in 1-2 years. I’m not sure yet if this what I want to do and don’t feel very excited about that role.
