Will IBM revise offer after accepting it ?
I am on notice period with Tata Consultancy with 2 months remaining with an offer in hand where the joining date is just after notice period ends. Now, I got early release from current company and thus, I saved 2 months. But I want to use these 2 months for travelling, upskilling and looking for better offers instead of contacting the new company for early joining. So, if I join the new company after 2 months will this be considered as a 'gap' in my profile in the future and will it be harmful?

A book stand is pretty useful. As is a nice insulated water bottle like a hydroflask.
Bookstand is so clutch. It really saves your neck/upper back… and when you slap that baby on the table in the library, it tells everybody else: The true nerd has arrived, bitches.
Convincing them not to go to law school would be a great gift.
Whatever your budget is....that amount of money in a gift card for a nearby coffeeshop. Or an espresso machine.
Gift card to a store selling professional clothing. Most law students don’t start out with much and need nice suits for interviews

GC for the law school bookstore.
I misread that at first and thought “General Counsel of the law school bookstore? Sounds like a great job!” Somebody has to answer the tough legal questions involved … Are syllabi and book lists protectable IP? Does a return policy constitute a binding contract? Can a rebate program result in overlapping possessory interests? ;-)
A subscription to a year (or three)‘s worth of tissues to wipe those tears.
A flask
Lower budget- gift card (Starbucks, DoorDash, etc)
Middle budget- personalized padfolio (for OCR), insulated water bottle
Higher budget- espresso machine/Keurig
Also see if there’s something they’ve been meaning to get for school and ask if you can get it for them (ex. Home desk [I needed a bigger one when I started school and my aunt covered the cost], coffee machine, etc)
A travel French press (like a travel coffee mug but with a little French press mechanism). Can bring with to school filled with grounds and hot water is usually free at whatever cafe is on campus. It was the one thing I used every single day.
Tissues
I actually recommend the book 1L, even if the person is going to a mid level rather than elite school. It helped me recognize that the stress and psychological roller coaster of law school is normal and expected for everyone. You just have to wait it out.
Also, law school confidential is a great book for explaining how to do well in law school. For example, briefing is a waste of time. Just annotate your law books and spend your time outlining every day then condensing those outlines before exams. Best advice I ever got. I spent way less time studying for high grades than my piers. Work smarter not harder!

My mom gave me a pair of Bose noise canceling headphones, which was my favorite and most useful gift.
An insulated water bottle (hydroflask) was given to me too and I used that every day.
Someone also gave me a high quality professional portfolio that was very nice for interviews and such.
