What's a random fun thing to do in LA right now? Was thinking a universal haunted house type of thing for a few of us on the team.

Just used a meaningful amount of AMEX points for the first time to buy flights to Greece for my wife and I. Emirates business class both ways for 2 people, 290k pts total or 145k each way for 2 tickets. Plus another 30k to get us round trip domestic connecting flights bringing the total to 320 points. This is on the 777 which isn’t the best business class product out there, but I’ve never flown international outside of coach and think it will still be worthwhile. Think this is an OK redemption?

Hi guys,

I submitted my resume in Accenture portal 3 months back and now I got shortlisted for interview.

My yoe is 3.6, but the interview is scheduled role "Application lead project". Is this normal?

Are there any chances they might reject me as the interview is for lead role while my YOE fall in senior analyst / analyst role.

Thanks,

It is more from investment purposes than anything else . Also my thinking is that buying place near belt-line will promise me better returns . First timer, on h1b and a female (single and no family ) if that helps . Need some guidance on my thought process and also referral on a real state agent

Do you ever feel like people treat you differently at your firm because of your age? Like reverse ageism? As if you don't know enough or aren't competent enough yet? Just curious if others have ever felt this way.

Deloitte question. I have always gotten a raise each year, the only question I ask is how much of a raise do I get. But I’m hearing from former Deloitte folks, it is naive to expect annual raises each year however small/big they are? And how does this play in Deloitte consulting vs advisory? Do one tend to withhold annual raises in base salary over the other, or is this just a deloitte culture thing? Looking at exit opportunities all over. So lmk! I’d Rather get a small raise than none at all.

Networking/LinkedIn question: Do you feel like you are the one who always reaches out to people on LinkedIn to stay in touch and build your network?
I'm always on the look out for my next opportunity or passively job searching. To that end, I believe in staying connected with my network through out the year and not randomly approaching them for a position/opening. However, at times, it feels the communication is coerced and there is a lack of rapport. Anyone else struggle with this? Thanks!
