I have a staff2/senior1 that got 100%. He was going to make 60k starting in October and he is leaving for 120k (based plus bonus)
@EY1 are these start ups? I have some friends out in Utah on LinkedIn and it seems like everyone and their dog is either founder, president, CEO, VP, or a director.
Good for them if they get paid $$$ too.
I literally don’t understand this. I turned down an offer at B4 (for personal reasons, trust me I would still like to do it) 3 years ago. My comp has finally surpassed that offer. That’s with a promotion and a sizable merit increase within the last 3 years. I doubt you’ll ever see a double digit salary increase in industry. I honestly think I would make 30-40% more in industry. Where are these unicorn jobs PA keeps posting about!
I just got 40% leaving before my promo, based on promo salary would have been closer to 32%
Cool ass company where the stock options could in theory make me one day, but best to focus on the base to not be disappointed of the biz doesnt pan out
Chief
I would not take less than 20% but you can certainly get a lot more than 20%
15-25% in my experience, but we're in a pandemic here so idk.
During the pandemic (2months ago) I left ey for 33.33% plus sign on bonus
I just left for a 25% bump as an S2
2%
Depends on the industry. But leaving as a senior you will never as far as you will leaving as a manager.
In tax what type of opportunities do you get leaving as a manager opposed to leaving as a senior?
Once you are out, prepare for 3% annual raises as you crawl your way up. Leave as a manger when you actually know something.
SM1 is not wrong. There are loads of businesses like this. Hell i left for industry for a 30% increase 2 years ago and my raise was less than 1% with an exceeds rating. I was basically topped out in the role I signed on for so I left and came back to PA.
Raise expectations are something you should absolutely discuss with a prospective employer.
I got 60% when I left as a senior 1
